We've got some excellent highlighter pens by Pentel in their 'Handy Line S' series that have the coolest design, as they're "knock type" meaning you can bring the tip of out of a sealed compartment with a rotating guard that keeps them from drying out -- so these highlighters never need caps! It really is much easier than putting the cap back on, and you will never need to worry about losing the caps with these pens.
